Use a negative file index to disable any chapter copying. If no chapter mapping is specified, then chapters are copied from the first input file with at least one chapter. Have you tried the following to not copy the chapters overĬopy chapters from input file with index input_file_index to the next output file.

Tried the following for removing the input subtitles ffmpeg -i input.mkv -i en.srt -sub_charenc Windows-1254 -i tr.srt -c:v copy -c:a copy -c:s mov_text -map 0 -map -0:s -map 1 -map 2 -metadata:s:s:0 language=eng -metadata:s:s:1 language=tur output.mp4 I tried following commands while converting ffmpeg -i input.mkv -i en.srt -sub_charenc Windows-1254 -i tr.srt -c:v copy -c:a copy -c:s mov_text -map 0:v -map 0:a -map 1 -map 2 -metadata:s:s:0 language=eng -metadata:s:s:1 language=tur output.mp4 I want to get rid of this track and only hold my SubRip tracks on my output file. This is weird because the input file does not have such a subtitle track. One little problem is after convertion, the new video has another subtitle track came out of nowhere, which only contains chapter names of the movie like 'Chapter 3' or '00:00:00' etc. Everything works out fine, video is being converted successfully, subtitles are working as well. I simply want to convert my MKV files to MP4 by removing encoded subtitles and adding my own multiple external SubRip subtitles.
